Time for state, like businesses, to tackle pollution

It is time to move forward with reducing pollution and the use of non-renewable resources. Big industries like MGM Resorts International and NV Energy are looking to go solar. The proof has been in the local news. Note the Washington Times article: NV Energy is looking to create another solar farm and will shut down its last coal-firing plant earlier than scheduled. MGM Resorts International has also turned toward solar energy, with its planned installation of one of the largest solar photovoltaic arrays in the world at the Mandalay Bay Resort Convention Center.

These are steps in the right direction, so now it is the governor’s turn to do the same by implementing a specialized state plan for Nevada, through the Clean Power Plan.
