Argument in North Las Vegas leads to shooting that kills 1

A man has died after a Saturday evening argument escalated into a shooting in North Las Vegas.

Officers responded about 11:45 p.m. to the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, near North Pecos Road, where they found a 31-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, North Las Vegas Police said.

The man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and died early Sunday morning, police said.

Detectives determined that the man was involved in an argument with at least one person in the parking lot of a business when it led to a shooting. Officers are unsure if more than one suspect was involved.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police said. Nobody is in custody, and the incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
