Metro Police are investigating a rollover crash that left a man dead in the southwest part of town.
According to police, the accident occurred about 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the Mountains Edge community when a driver who was traveling at a high rate of speed ran a stop sign and veered into a desert area.
The sedan flipped multiple times and came to rest several hundred feet west of the intersection, Metro said.
The 40-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's identity has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation and is the 111th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
