A man was shot to death after confronting a group of graffiti taggers Tuesday night in the central valley, according to Metro Police.
Police received reports of shots fired about 6:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of Duneville Street, near Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said they think the victim confronted several males who were tagging a wall near an apartment complex. A short time after the confrontation, gunshots were fired from a black Honda Civic, police said.
No arrests have been made, and the motive may be gang related, according to police.
