Partygoers will be able to ring in the new year safely with free rides from the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. The RTC will provide free rides on all 39 of its fixed routes from 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until 9 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Bus service hours will be extended on several routes to provide a safe, hassle-free way to navigate the Las Vegas Valley while celebrating, the RTC said.

There will be 24-hour service on 20 routes, and four additional routes will have extended hours until 2 a.m.

Park-and-ride service will be offered by the RTC at three locations, with scheduled pickups every 20 minutes from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. to get riders to New Year’s festivities.

A bus from Centennial Hills to downtown Las Vegas will pick up at 7313 Grand Montecito Parkway, while one running between the Suncoast, the Westcliff Transit Center and downtown Las Vegas will pick up at 25 S. Durango Drive. Another bus will run from 6675 Gilespie St. to the South Las Vegas Strip Transfer Terminal.
