Fire does $800K in damage at house near Kyle Canyon Road; 2 displaced

A house near Mount Charleston was ruled a total loss Saturday evening after a fire caused $800,000 in damage and displaced at least two adults, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Also according to the department:

About 40 fire personnel responded just before 8 p.m. to 13825 Racel St., near Kyle Canyon Road.

When firefighters arrived, the single-story, Spanish-style home was well involved in flames and the roof collapsed shortly thereafter. Las Vegas firefighters fought the blaze for nearly five hours.

Two adults were displaced from the house but were not injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
