Inmate dies in Reno

A Clark County inmate jailed since 1992 died in Reno on Friday, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Mark Clewis, 65, had been housed at the Lovelock Correctional Center and died about 7 p.m. in a Reno hospital.

Clewis was serving life with the possibility of parole for a weapons, drugs and robbery conviction, NDOC said.

His cause of death will be determined by a medical examiner.
