Henderson woman, 72, tied up during home-invasion robbery

The incident happened about 2:15 a.m. on Garden City Avenue in Sun City Anthem, near Sun City Anthem Drive and Olivia Heights Avenue, police said. Two males brandished a gun, demanding valuables, police said.

They tied up the 72-year-old homeowner and made off with cash and jewelry, police said. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Police did not say how the robbers got into the house. Detectives were following up on leads, officials said.

Police reminded residents to lock their doors, keep their homes well lit, secure sliding glass doors, lock doors to attached garages and watch out for neighbors.
