A vacant gas station caught fire Wednesday night, causing $20,000 in damage, according to the Henderson Fire Department.
A city employee driving by the building near Lake Mead Parkway and Warm Springs Road reported the fire about 11:40 p.m., officials said. Firefighters found heavy flames and smoke coming from the building, officials said.
The building was unoccupied and has been vacant for some time, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
