Two women were killed and a man wounded after a fight at the Miracle Mile Shops parking garage on the Strip escalated into a shooting from a car early this morning, according to Metro Police.

The fight was reported about 1:20 a.m. today at the garage of the mall at Planet Hollywood in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard South, police said.

The people involved left in at least two vehicles toward Harmon Avenue, police said.

Surveillance video showed the scuffle, which was broken up by security guards, police said. The video shows a man with a gun get into a light blue or gray 2015 Toyota Camry moments later, Metro Lt. Dan McGrath said. Police are looking for the man and a rental car.

About 10 minutes later, witnesses told police they saw people shooting from vehicles at Harmon and Aldeberan avenues. Police say shots were fired from the Camry into a Hyundai.

It didn't immediately appear anyone in the Hyundai fired back, McGrath said, although investigators haven't yet searched the Hyundai and didn't know if there was a gun in the car.

A woman who had been shot was found lying dead on the street, police said.

Several minutes after that, a car pulled up to the valet area at the Cosmopolitan with a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. The car rolled to a stop, bumping another vehicle with the woman slumped behind the wheel, McGrath said.

The woman, who was driving, died; the man was taken to University Medical Center and was expected to survive, police said. McGrath said the man found wounded in the car didn't immediately tell investigators what prompted the argument .

The Clark County Coroner said the victims have not been identified.

Nobody has been arrested.

The Miracle Mile Shops said in a statement that its security personnel are working with police. The Cosmopolitan released a statement Friday saying the safety of its guests is its first priority. The shopping center is attached to the Planet Hollywood but is operated by Miracle Mile Shops.

The intersection is just west of the Strip in an industrial area. The owner of a screen-printing business at Harmon and Aldeberan said her staff hadn't heard about the shooting until about 8 a.m.

Cameras from the plant don't point toward the intersection, she said, and police had not spoken to her.

By late morning, the valet operation at the Cosmopolitan continued as normal.

The shooting came just days after a similar incident nearby on Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas police said people in two separate vehicles exchanged words at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday before several gunshots were fired from one car into the other. The driver and front-seat passenger in the second car were injured and drove to a hospital, but were discharged the same day.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
