CARSON CITY — A Las Vegas woman was named to the state Board of Education today by Gov. Brian Sandoval.
Felicia Ortiz will replace Allison Serafin, who resigned her seat in Clark County’s 3rd District.
Ortiz is a member of the Latin Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals of America.
Ortiz will have to run for election in November to retain the seat.
