Metro Police officers are looking for singer Chris Brown, who is suspected in a battery Saturday morning at the Palms Casino Resort.

According to police:

Brown, 26, battered a woman who'd tried to take a cellphone picture of him. He also took her phone, and a verbal argument followed as private security escorted her into the hall.

Hotel security then escorted the woman off the property, and she called police about 10:20 a.m. Detectives were denied entry into Brown's room and later learned he'd already departed.

Drai's Nightclub listed Brown as its featured entertainer Friday night. Representatives for the Palms declined to comment, stating, "As a matter of company policy, Palms does not comment on guest matters."

Brown was freed from felony probation last year, more than six years after he attacked then-girlfriend Rihanna. The singer pleaded guilty to felony assault in that case.

He is suspected of misdemeanor theft and battery. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 702-828-4809, go to crimestoppersofnv.com or send a text including CRIMENV and tip information to 274637.
