Two people were arrested Saturday in connection with the Dec. 29 killing of a California man in a gym parking lot in the west valley, according to Metro Police.

Kyle Statts, 27, and Megan Hippie, 19, both face charges of first degree murder, attempt robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit a robbery. Statts also faces a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, police said.

They are both being held at Clark County Detention Center.

Neil Brian Gandler, 42, of Palo Alto, was found shot in his vehicle just after 1 a.m. in the parking lot of 24 Hour Fitness on South Rainbow Boulevard and Alta Drive, police said.

The Clark County Coroner's office said Gandler died of a gunshot wound to the torso.
