Crash
A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured this afternoon near downtown, according to Metro Police.
Police were called about 3:40 p.m. to the area of Charleston Boulevard and Maryland Parkway, where a black Scion struck one person, Lt. Jeff Goodwin said.
The pedestrian, an adult whose gender was not immediately available, was taken to University Medical Center with serious but nonlife-threatening injuries, Goodwin said.
The driver remained on scene, he said.
