James Burt
A Metro Police officer was arrested today on counts of domestic battery by strangulation and first-degree kidnapping, according to police.
James A. Burt, 41, is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail, jail records show. Details of the arrest were not immediately available.
Burt has been employed by Metro since September 2005, and he has been relieved of duty without pay pending the outcomes of internal and criminal investigations, police said in a news release.
