CARSON CITY — The state Board of Examiners today approved a $44.1 million contract to start construction on an academic building for UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration.
Gus Nunez, administrator of the state Public Works Division, told the board McCarthy Building Companies Inc. won the contract. Construction will start in March, and the project will take 18 months to complete.
The state is putting up $24.4 million, and UNLV will be required to contribute a matching amount.
