North Las Vegas Police say they have taken a man into custody in connection with a domestic dispute after a standoff this afternoon.
Police were called about 1 p.m. today to the area near East Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Center Drive to investigate a domestic incident, Officer Aaron Patty said.
Details of the incident were not immediately available.
Police set up a perimeter in the area of the 2800 block of Emmons Avenue, where they believed the man was either holed up in a residence or in the area, Patty said.
The man, who had a gun, was inside the home and surrendered to police about 4:10 p.m., he said.
No one was injured during the standoff, he said.
