A man was taken into custody Monday after his girlfriend was found stabbed to death in a house in North Las Vegas.
Officers were called about 9:45 a.m. to the house in the 1200 block of Ferguson Avenue, near Evans Avenue and Civic Center Drive, where they found an unresponsive 43-year-old woman, North Las Vegas Police said.
Police said Marland Jackson, 39, stabbed his girlfriend multiple times with a sharpening tool and then called police, explaining what happened.
Jackson, of North Las Vegas, was arrested and booked into the Las Vegas City Jail on one count of murder with a deadly weapon.
