Bishop Gorman High linebacker Ikem Okeke took to Twitter Saturday night to announce his commitment to the Hawaii football program.
The 6 foot, 200-pound Okeke had 42 tackles (three for a loss), one sack and one interception in 2015 for the Gaels' mythical national championship squad.
He picked Hawaii over an offer from Montana State.
Also Saturday, Desert Pines center Natron Auelua-Naki verbally committed to Morehouse State, and Moapa Valley linebacker Trystin Deal committed to NAIA Eastern Oregon University. Auelua-Naki also had offers from Kentucky Wesleyan and Southern.
National signing day is Wednesday, and both Desert Pines and Gorman have more players expected to sign — Sam Poutasi (Oregon) and Anthony Smith (Colorado State) from Desert Pines, and Gorman's Jaron Caldwell and Julio Garcia II to UNLV.
