CARSON CITY — The state Public Utilities Commission has approved a slight decrease in electric rates in Southern Nevada to account for the lower cost of fuel paid by NV Energy.
Rates will go down an average .080 percent, effective Oct. 1. For the average residential customer, that will mean a decrease of 90 cents a month.
