A 33-year-old man died in a possible drowning Tuesday night at Lake Mead, according to the National Park Service.
According to a news release, witnesses said the man jumped from a moving boat without a life jacket. The driver returned to retrieve him and found the man face down in the water, officials said.
The Lake Mead National Recreation Area Interagency Communication Center received a call about 6:30 p.m. that the boat was coming into Callville Bay Marina with a deceased passenger on board, officials said.
National Park Service medics and rangers tried to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead at 7:21 p.m., officials said.
The incident is under investigation.
