Police seek information in death of woman at Lake Mead

Metro Police are trying to piece together a timeline of events leading up to the death of a woman whose body was discovered Monday at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Kathleen Ploutz, 61, of Las Vegas was found by National Park Service rangers about 8 a.m. at Boulder Basin, police said. Her body had signs of trauma, and detectives believe she was the victim of a homicide, police said.

No motive or suspect have been identified.
