One person killed in shooting at apartment complex after ‘heated argument’

Metro Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead this morning at an apartment complex in the central valley.

Officers responded about 7 a.m. to Hampton Court Apartments, 3955 Swenson St., near East Flamingo Road, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County Coroner's Office will release his identity.

Investigation indicates that the man was involved in a "heated argument" with several individuals in the parking lot moments before the shooting, police said.

Several people were seen running after the shooting and multiple vehicles fled the complex, police said. No arrests have been made and the motive is unknown.

This is the 101st homicide investigation by Metro this year.
