Nobody hurt when helicopter tips over at airport

A helicopter tipped over this morning when a student pilot failed a takeoff attempt at the North Las Vegas Airport, according to the Clark County Department of Aviation. Nobody was injured.

There was one other person in the helicopter at the time, officials said.

The incident happened about 9:45 a.m. at the airport near North Decatur Boulevard and West Carey Avenue, department spokeswoman Christine Crews said.

The aircraft involved was a Robinson R44, according to Allen Kenitzer of the Federal Aviation Administration.
