Two inmates escape camp near Lovelock, last seen in Reno

James Westbrook, 23, was convicted Sept. 22, 2015, of burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance in Elko County and was serving 16-72 months. He escaped from the Humboldt Conservation Camp near Lovelock on Saunday, June 19, 2016.

The Nevada Department of Corrections is seeking the public’s help to find two minimum-security inmates who escaped today from the Humboldt Conservation Camp near Lovelock.

According to a news release:

Nicco Way and James Westbrook were last seen about 12:30 p.m. at a convenience store near Grove Street in Reno. It is unknown when they actually escaped from the camp.

Nicco Way, 25, was convicted April 29 of attempted burglary in Washoe County and was serving 12-32 months. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, blue eyes and brown hair. He has a 2-inch scar on his chin and a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

James Westbrook, 23, was convicted Sept. 22, 2015, of burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance in Elko County and was serving 16-72 months. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build. He has hazel eyes, brown hair and the word “Jay” tattooed on his right forearm.

Both inmates were last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirts with a blue button-down shirt over it and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts should call 911 or their local law enforcement agency.
