A man wanted in the slaying of a woman in Charlotte, N.C., was arrested early this morning in Pahrump, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.
Matthew Benner, 28, of Charlotte was arrested about 4 a.m. and booked at the Nye County Detention Center on a murder warrant, officials said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police tracked Benner via a cellphone GPS signal to a Best Western hotel, where Nye County deputies found him asleep in a vehicle, officials said.
He was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was towed and secured as evidence, officials said.
