Eight people were displaced in a fire early Saturday in the 3300 block of Casey Drive. The blaze did an estimated $50,000 in damage; no one was hurt.
According to the Clark County Fire Department:
Smoke was emitting from a two-story, eight-unit apartment building when firefighters arrived. They put out the fire within about 25 minutes.
The cause is under investigation. Four engines, a fire truck and two battalion chiefs were involved in the response. The Red Cross was called to help two of the three displaced families.
