A blaze at a house near Boulder Highway and Warm Springs Road spread to a recreational vehicle and an adjacent house this afternoon, according to the Henderson Fire Department.

No injuries were reported. Two pet cats died in the fire.

The fire, reported about 2:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Zuber Avenue, spread from the house to an RV in the driveway and then to a single-story home next door, city spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

The first home’s resident was not home at the time of the fire; two adults and a child were in the second home and were evacuated safely.

Five adults and one child were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

A nearby apartment complex was evacuated as a precaution, she said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The estimated loss of property and belongings is $445,000.
