A North Las Vegas woman who was hit by a car in a crosswalk Feb. 26 near Warm Springs Road and Spencer Street has died.
According to Metro Police:
About 3:10 p.m., a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro driven by a 16-year-old boy was making a left turn from southbound Shadow Crest Drive to eastbound Warm Springs. As Linda McCoy, 49, entered a crosswalk on Warm Springs, the car struck her on the left side.
McCoy was transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries. She was pronounced dead Thursday.
The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and was not impaired.
This is the 23rd traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2016. It is under investigation.
