Driver robbed of wallet, car while delivering Chinese food

A delivery driver was attacked and robbed Monday night while dropping off Chinese food in the central valley, according to Metro Police.

The driver, who works at China Joe’s Express on East Flamingo Road, drove to the area of Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway about 8:30 p.m. to make a delivery, police said.

He couldn’t find the address he was looking for, so he called the person who placed the order, police said. A short time later, a man flagged him down on the street to take the order, police said.

After making the delivery, he was confronted by four men and hit from behind with what he thought was a gun, police said.

The men punched and kicked him and stole his wallet before driving off in his car, police said.

The car was last seen driving west on Sombrero Drive, police said.

No arrests have been made.
