Desert Pines linebacker Tony Fields II picks Arizona

Tony Fields II seemed to receive a new football scholarship offer every week this spring. They came from schools in multiple leagues and different parts of the nation.

Whether he was hearing from Missouri of the SEC, San Jose and Boise State of the Mountain West, or multiple Pac-12 schools, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker always had his mind on one school: Arizona.

He committed to the Wildcats on Saturday during their junior day recruiting event.

“I already had known this is where I wanted to go for a while,” said Fields, a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com. “This sealed it up. I loved the time I had.”

Fields plans to graduate high school in January and enroll early at Arizona. He’s one of four Desert Pines players committed to Division I schools, joining Randal Grimes (USC) and UNLV commits Marckell Grayson and Isaiah Morris.
