A 20-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot by a person inside a vehicle in the central valley Wednesday night, according to Metro Police.
Police were called about 9:15 p.m. to Minnesota Street, near Washington Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, Metro Lt. Charles Jenkins said.
The victim, who was walking, and a person inside a dark vehicle exchanged words before the shooting, Jenkins said. The man was struck once and was taken to University Medical Center.
No arrests have been announced and more details were not immediately available.
