Coroner IDs victim killed in collision on I-15

Updated Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 | 1:53 p.m.

Officials have identified a man who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on a Las Vegas interstate.

The Clark County Coroner's Office says 46-year-old Bobby Pierce, of Henderson, was driving on I-15 near Sunset Road when his vehicle was hit by another Saturday evening.

The coroner's office was still completing the autopsy Sunday, so no cause of death was given.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Pierce died on the scene.

A female passenger was taken to University Medical Center with incapacitating injuries, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The vehicle that left the scene might have been tan or brown and should have left-side damage, the patrol said.

The suspect vehicle is still at large, and police have made no arrests.
