Trial has been postponed amid talk about a plea deal involving a former animal control supervisor accused of illegally killing dogs at the Boulder City shelter.
Court records show that prosecutors and Mary Jo Frazier's attorney decided Tuesday they'll meet again Oct. 4 with a Clark County District Court judge.
Trial had been scheduled next week.
Frazier pleaded not guilty in March to two felony animal cruelty charges that could get her up to eight years in prison.
She retired and moved to Oregon shortly after a police probe concluded that more than 90 animals had been euthanized in one year without a required five-day waiting period and veterinary exam.
The police chief who decided not to seek charges against Frazier resigned after Boulder City officials asked the district attorney to prosecute Frazier.
