Tahoe council candidate among injured in fatal RV crash

A South Lake Tahoe City Council candidate is among four people injured in a Douglas County crash that has left a woman dead.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says Jason Collin and wife Natalie were among the passengers in a motorhome that collided with an SUV Friday on State Route 207.

NHP spokesman Duncan Dauber says three people were airlifted to Reno hospitals and another two were transported on the ground.

They included the female SUV driver, who succumbed to her injuries.

The conditions of the other four were not immediately known Saturday.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

SR-207, also known as Kingsbury Grade, was closed for several hours.

The 43-year-old Collin is up for a council seat in the November election.
