A man was shot to death Monday night following an altercation near Deer Springs Park in North Las Vegas, police said.
The shooting happened about 8:15 p.m. at Deer Springs and Aviary ways. North Las Vegas Police said a man walking in the street was shot after apparently getting into an altercation with a man driving a truck.
The 30-year-old victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The 22-year-old driver of the truck was held for questioning, and other witnesses were interviewed at the scene, police said.
