North Las Vegas Police seek clues in shooting at park

North Las Vegas Police detectives continue to seek clues in a double shooting earlier this month at Desert Horizon Park, near Simmons Drive and Gilmore Avenue.

Gunfire erupted Aug. 11, leaving a 39-year-old woman in critical condition and a 19-year-old man with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers responded about 10 p.m. to an area near the basketball courts at the park in the 3700 block of Simmons, police said. Both victims were taken to University Medical Center.

No suspect description or information on a possible motive have been released.
