Police say the second suspect in last week’s shooting at the Miracle Mile Shops on the Strip turned himself into custody on Saturday.

Jaime Gonzalez, 25, is suspected of driving the car that fled the scene with Jonathan Ozuna, who was already arrested in connection with the incident, according to Metro Police.

The shooting happened about 7:45 p.m. last Thursday when two security guards confronted two robbery suspects in the parking garage of the mall, police said. They chased the suspects to the third floor, where police believe Ozuna opened fire, striking one guard in the hand and the other in the neck, police said.

The guards were taken to Sunrise Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said.

Gonzalez was being held on counts of burglary, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

Ozuna, 34, was being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of attempted murder and one count each of burglary with firearm, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and conspiracy to commit burglary, police said.
