CARSON CITY — Attorney General Adam Laxalt says $1.2 million is going to the medical school at UNR to train students and residents in obstetrics and gynecology.
The money will create a new department at the school and is part of $3.8 million the school will receive over the next five years.
The money comes from a settlement between the state and Pfizer pharmaceutical company, accused of improperly promoting postmenopausal hormone therapy medications.
