Suspect in Florida child molesting case captured in Las Vegas

Six months after a fugitive task force captured him in North Carolina, a suspected Flagler County child molester was again tracked out of state and arrested in Las Vegas on Monday.

Bryan Loveland, 38, fled the state and was living in Las Vegas under a false name, according to a release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. Flagler detectives tracked him there and sent word to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Vegas police staked out the home in which Loveland was staying and recaptured him Monday.

A fugitive task force originally arrested Loveland in Fayetteville, North Carolina on April 5 following reports he had groped and kissed a 12-year-old girl against her will during a Christmas party in Palm Coast. He was extradited to the Flagler County jail and released on $50,000 bail April 20.

That same day, he went to the victim's home and caused a disturbance, violating the conditions of his bond, according to arrest reports. Deputies re-arrested him and booked him on new charges that had been pending prior to him bailing out. Those new charges stemmed from allegations he touched the girl inappropriately and kissed her against her will on Dec. 23.

Loveland was released after posting a $150,000 surety bond July 13. He was ordered to remain in the state, but he again violated the terms of his bond, officials said.

Flagler County sheriff's detective George Hristakopoulos tipped off Las Vegas authorities that Loveland may be in the area using a false name and police there apprehended him within hours, Tuesday's release states. Loveland is now in custody at the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada awaiting extradition to Flagler County.

Officials said he will be held without bail he's returned here.
