A fire that caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a northwest valley house may have been electrical in nature, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.
The fire, which appears to have started in a bedroom, was reported about 1:20 a.m. today on Wisteria Avenue, near Alta Drive and Jones Boulevard, officials said. Three adults and a teen escaped the house without injury, officials said.
When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and fire were coming from the single-story, wood-frame house, officials said. It took about 20 minutes to bring the blaze under control, officials said.
