RENO — Five people were reportedly injured Saturday when a fire truck on its way to a medical call collided with a car at an intersection in the Reno area.
Officials say the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District engine had its lights and siren on when it collided with a car as one of the vehicles turned at an intersection in Spanish Springs.
News outlets reported that four firefighters were taken to a hospital with minor injuries and the car driver's injuries were more serious.
Spanish Springs is 10 miles northeast of Reno.
