'Tis the season for an increased number of package deliveries to home doorsteps — and videos capturing porch pirates in the act.

With the growth of social media and home surveillance systems, footage often goes viral. But rarely can authorities immediately identify the perpetrator.

Take Edson Manzano, 29, for example. He’s accused by Metro Police in a series of thefts from people’s doors.

He first struck on Nov. 29 in a west valley neighborhood, police allege, and returned to the area — near Summerlin Parkway and the 215 Beltway — two weeks later, striking three more times.

In one of the videos, a man is seen arriving at a house, his attention caught by a large box resting on a wall. He begins to walk away, but returns to take a smaller box.

It wasn’t clear how investigators identified Manzano, but they know he’s driving a 2017 silver Hyundai Sonata with Nevada plate 63F569, police said.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to call police at 702-828-8577. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com.
