A 75-year-old man was arrested Monday night on a DUI count after a crash that killed a motorcyclist, according to Henderson Police.
Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. to the wreck at Paseo Verde Parkway and Carnegie Street, where they found a critically injured man, police said. He died at University Medical Center, police said.
Richard Evans, 75, who was driving a 2011 Nissan Murano, was arrested on a count of driving while under the influence of alcohol, and a traffic infraction, police said.
The motorcyclist was riding through the intersection on a green light when Evans failed to yield for a flashing yellow left-turn arrow and drove in front of him, police said.
Evans was being held at the Henderson Detention Center on $250,000 bail, jail logs show.
