Police in Southern Nevada are investigating whether a 50-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman who were arrested as suspects in a string of beauty salon burglaries in Henderson are responsible for similar break-ins in neighboring cities.

Kenneth McDougall and Jesenia Guerrero were arrested Saturday after a vehicle crash in Las Vegas. They were being held at the Henderson city jail pending an initial court appearance on felony burglary and misdemeanor conspiracy charges stemming from at least three cases since February, Henderson police Officer Rodrigo Pena said.

They are expected to have attorneys appointed at that time to speak for them.

McDougall and Guerrero were arrested Saturday afternoon after McDougall crashed a Hyundai Accent sedan into two unmarked police vehicles, two parked vehicles and a home in east Las Vegas, Henderson police said.

No injuries were reported, but firefighters and utility crews were called to stop a natural gas leak at the house.

Eight break-ins in Henderson were linked to the couple, with most involving smashing front doors with a sledgehammer and grabbing high-priced beauty products, Pena said.

McDougall and Guerrero were identified through surveillance video footage and other evidence at the scenes, police said.
