Memorial Day weekend brings fresh arrivals to the Vegas entertainment scene and one returning resident who can’t wait to get back onstage. Whether you’re looking for music, sports or comedy this holiday weekend, it’s easy to find the right show in the right place on and off the Strip.

‘MANILOW LAS VEGAS: THE HITS COME HOME’ Barry Manilow’s return to the Vegas stage offers a show tailor-made for the Vegas audience. “My audience has been telling me what they wanted,” he said. “As they’ve grown younger and older, they want to hear the songs they know and I’m happy to do that, so I changed my show around.” Hence those hits, coming home to the Westgate International Theater. ‘MARILYN! THE NEW MUSICAL’ Original Broadway-style musical productions are a rare thing on the Las Vegas Strip these days, which makes this new show even more exciting. The great Ruby Lewis stars as Marilyn Monroe and leads a stellar cast at the Paris Theater, where preview shows began this week and the production continues at 7 p.m. nightly except for Mondays. BLINK-182: KINGS OF THE WEEKEND The first punk-rock residents in Las Vegas are also bringing the first headlining residency show to the fabulously renovated Pearl Theater at the Palms. Blink-182 kicks things off with two concert spectaculars this weekend and is set to return in June. May 26-27, info at palms.com.

JIM GAFFIGAN Celine Dion is back home at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace (through June 9) but comedian Jim Gaffigan sneaks in for a Sunday night show. Still hot on his recent “Cinco” Netflix show, Gaffigan is about to drop a new special “Noble Ape,” coming on July 13. May 27, info at thecolosseum.com.

LAS VEGAS ACES VS. SEATTLE STORM The next chapter of our Las Vegas professional sports story begins Sunday at 5:30 p.m. when the WNBA’s Aces, led by No. 1 draft pick A’ja Wilson, tip-off their home opener at Mandalay Bay Events Center. May 27, info at aces.wnba.com.
