North Las Vegas Police have arrested the boyfriend of a 17-year-old girl he dropped off at a hospital with a fatal gunshot wound early this morning, authorities said.
Seneca Carey, 21, is accused of shooting the teen in a residential neighborhood in the 1100 block of Gary Carmena Avenue, near Bruce Street and East Azure Avenue, police said.
Police responded shortly before 3 a.m. to Mountain View Hospital, where Carey took his girlfriend and where she died, Officer Aaron Patty said.
Carey was subsequently arrested and booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on a count of murder, police said.
Investigators determined the shooting was domestic-violence related, police said, but additional details were not available this afternoon.
