Metro Police say they temporarily evacuated the area of Flamingo and Sandhill roads this morning after a suspicious package was discovered.
The item was found on the northeast corner, near a strip shopping mall, and officers evacuated the area, police said. Traffic in the vicinity also was shut down as a precaution, police said.
Metro announced the incident via Twitter about 7:15 a.m. By about 8:20 a.m., the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada reported that all roads were reopened.
