Willie Nelson, shown here in Austin, Texas, in September, performs twice at the Cosmopolitan this weekend.

Saturday night will be huge on the south Strip. Jimmy Buffett is back at MGM Grand Garden Arena the same night the Vegas Golden Knights play their first regular season weekend home game at T-Mobile Arena, shooting for a third straight victory against the visiting Anaheim Ducks. But as usual, the Strip is just the beginning of the entertainment options sprinkled all over the valley this weekend.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN The night before Knight Time, reunited alt-metal outfit System of a Down’s 2018 West Coast tour rolls through T-Mobile Arena. The brief outing (only five shows) marks the band’s first U.S. concerts since 2015 and Saturday’s event is the grand finale. At the Drive-In and Skeletonwitch are the openers. WILLIE NELSON These two January shows from the iconic country artist, author and activist have been rescheduled and are finally here, with Willie taking the stage Friday and Saturday night at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan.
