Theft at Las Vegas gym leads to attempted credit card fraud

Authorities are searching for a suspect who they say stole a duffel bag from a Las Vegas area recreation center last month and then attempted to commit credit card fraud, according to Las Vegas City Marshals.

The male suspect was caught on a surveillance image released today.

Authorities responded on Sept. 27 to the YMCA on Durango Hills, 3521 N. Durango Drive, where the theft to a patron was reported, officials said. The victim’s wallet was in the bag.

“Within a few minutes,” the suspect had attempted to use the stolen credit cards to make purchases at several stores, officials said.
